Struggling to find a good quick read?

If during term time, you are struggling to find a novel to read that is not too long and not too heavy, then look no further than award-winning authors, Susin Nielsen and Sarah Crossman. Both women write novels that are short, accessible, thought-provoking and fast-paced. If you want a novel with some touches of humour, complex family dynamics and a happy ending then try ‘WordNerd’ or ‘We are all made of Molecules’ by Nielsen. On the other hand, if you want a quick read that is more realistic and hard-hitting but also beautifully written and fast-paced, then try either ‘Moonrise’ or ‘The Weight of Water’ by Susan Crossman. Both these novels tackle difficult themes such as the death penalty, criminal justice, family breakdown and immigration. In saying that, they are also very, accessible and quick to read.

Anyway, sometimes during term-time when life is busy and stressful, what you really need is a read that is short, well-written and satisfying. These two Young Adult authors really hit the spot and will appeal to both teenagers and adults alike. I am a HUGE fan of Crossman and Nielsen
